Why I became a therapist
As far back as I remember I have always been fascinated with the human mind, our connections with other people, the way we relate to ourselves and the world, and how our histories (upbringing) impacts us. In a way I always knew psychology was the right path for me. Throughout my education, post graduate training, and professional experiences I have learned the importance of the therapeutic relationship with my clients - that it is fundamental to change within the client. It is also the reason why I am a therapist today. I highly value the relationships I have with my clients. I feel honored every day to work with such amazing people.
Background & Experience
I moved to Philadelphia a few years ago from NYC. I needed a change of pace, a city with a lower cost of living, a smaller city, but something that still has the edge and grit that NYC does. Philadelphia has been wonderful the past few years! I definitely consider it home. I own a house here, have a partner, a son who is under a year old, and two (mostly) adorable rescue pit mixes. Other than family life, I love running, yoga, jiu jitsu, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. As I mentioned above, I find nothing is more important than the relationships I have with the people in my life.
