Why I became a therapist

I desired to create a safe space for people to work through and gain support in the unavoidable transitions in life. We all face physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual changes. These transitions can be challenging and our experiences can result in shock, anger, sadness, fear, stress, numbness, and self-doubt and are often anxiety provoking. My aim is to assist those sorting through and adjusting to the planned and anticipated or life-altering unexpected events life brings.

Background & Experience

I was born in Heidelberg, Germany. I live for creativity and enjoy teaching dance. I am fascinated by the sky and all of its events. I enjoy reading and am also a writer. If I had to choose two words that describe what motivates me personally and professionally, they would be compassion and love.

I earned my Master’s degree from Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions in Dance/ Movement Therapy and Counseling in 2015. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Criminology and Dance in 2019. I am a Registered-Dance/Movement Therapist and certified Domestic Violence Advocate since Fall of 2018. I am currently taking courses at Beck Institute for certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
